Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, born on November 14, 1982, is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He is the second son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan received his early education in Dubai at the Rashid School for Boys. He later attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2001. Following his military training, he studied at the London School of Economics.
He has emphasized that his education instilled in him values such as self-discipline, commitment, responsibility, and teamwork.
